Stonewall Democrats of Western New York proudly announce their endorsement of Amber Small for the NYS Senate's 60 District.

"Amber Small is what we need more of in the state legislature," said Bryan Ball, president of SDWNY. "Amber Small is a steadfast and strong advocate for issues of progress, and her spirit, drive and sense of justice on what matters to the LGBT and allied community is what we will need to regain a Democratic majority in the NYS Senate. Amber Small will be an unyielding voice for LGBT equality, and help make GENDA, the bill to ban conversion therapy and our other pro-LGBT pieces of legislation a reality."

"Amber will bring an unfettered representation to her WNY constituents," said Kitty Lambert-Rudd, Vice-President of SDWNY. "Her willingness to consider every side of an issue and how it will effect Western New Yorkers will be a great asset to all of us as we continue to grow and make this region the place to move to, live in, and raise a family."

Small was honored to accept the endorsement, saying “The Stonewall Democrats of Western New York are inspirational leaders for justice and equality.  I am honored and humbled to accept their endorsement and pledge that I will fight for the rights of all members of the LGBT community and for the rights of all New Yorkers. It is time to pass GENDA in our State Legislature and enact legislation that ensures all people are treated equally and with dignity.”
